Teacher : Julien Gachadoat
Dates : 26/27/28 Avril 2013
Tarif : 160 €
En partenariat avec Le Campus de la Fonderie de l’Image.
The Program (This workshop will be taught in English).
The masterclass for this year will be dedicated to learning and applying shader techniques with Processing. Used extensively for real-time graphics applications, shaders have evolved rapidly over the last few years and have have been implemented in the latest version of Processing with GLSL shaders and a new PShader class thanks to work and development from Andreas Colubri.
Shaders can be used in many different ways. During the three days, this workshop will explore a variety of applications : from generating 2D images to 3D models as well as possible cellular automata systems.
- Introduction to the OpenGL pipeline and GLSL architecture.
- Revision of transformations and matrices.
- Example sketches : 2D filters & generation of 2D images.
- 3D, vertex and geometry shaders.
- Physics systems.
- Development of personal projects, experimentation and play !
- Party !

Processing Paris and our monthly sessions are part of the Processing Cities project – an international network of regular meet-ups and events on digital technologies, creative coding and Open Source creation. This initiative was set up by the non-profit organisation, Free Art Bureau (FAB) and is led by Mark Webster & Julien Gachadoat (who also looks after Processing Bordeaux).
